I just moved into my apartment in Seattle. Still getting things organized since is taking forever so I see pretty much no one. Hopefully I'll finish soon since I have school.

I just signed up so I hope I can get  a night job. I'd like to work at a place that still has burlesque/theater/shows/anything that I can work with my final project. (mostly so I don't have to pay/feed drinks to the performers so that we can be partners in crime of photography.) Making connections from a night drinking. I'm sure Claire will understand.

I'm completely terrified with this year.

Hi dad from Mom and I (jackie)

Grandpa is sick. Been sick all day, we're in Kviv in the apartment and Bobby is taking care of sleeping grandpa.
Apparently a lot of throwing up and diarerra and all the weakness one can have at this time.
His temp is really high...but he says it might be from drinking milk in the heat...?
Mom doesn't seem too happy about this since...well, it is obviously slowing her down and we're most likely not able to go to Lvov tomorrow in the morning like planned.
The Ukraine people/Bobby don't want to take grandpa to the doctors because they are afraid they will say he has swine flu and they won't know when they will let him go.
Silly but somehow this is what is happening.
Bobby is badly sunburned and mom thinks the trip has gone what she thought: "the first two days will be great, and afterwards...." I don't really remember
but she just came over to me and said we should just go home.
I hear Tollick and Bobby carrying grandpa to the bathroom...doesn't sound like he has any control of himself right now.
Everyone in the apartment seems upset. I seem clueless since I'm on the computer/don't understand medical Russian words.
Mom seems sad that we might have done this trip too late.

PS the food here is really food! I gained 500 pounds already. Also, we saw fireworks sent fire to part of a beach house, jumped in a gross river, and got eaten alive by mosquitos.

Yesterday he picked me up and it was a blast to drive with him.

He is the crazy-drive to kill-honking-not looking-on cellphone-all windows down-stunna shades- blasting/singing/dancing to Beyonce type.

Monotonix ruled. Many of the other bands blew. Yeah Yeah Yeahs fun. Crystal Castles were better than last year. Gogol Bordello is slowing down a lot. Of Montreal had potential but it lacked any soul and tried with costumes, theater, confetti, audience members, colors, video screens and breaking guitars...but there was something missing. Jane's Addiction was just hilarious, WTF, hah.
